The set includes :

• a high quality white Plisson synthetic fibre shaving brush, supplied with its black Plexiglas holder;
• a chrome-plated brass Plisson black razor with Plisson blade
• Plisson shaving cream.
• A refill of two additional Plisson 3-blade razor heads is supplied inside the box.

How to use it

It's best to shave in the morning, just after showering and before breakfast: the hair, made up mainly of Keratin, will be softer and easier to cut, and the skin on your face less fragile. Prepare your shaving foam by loading the shaving brush with soap or shaving cream. Using products known as ‘Preparation for shaving’ has a dual objective: it increases the hydration of the hair by ridding it of its greasy layer (sebum) and it also protects the skin from the aggression of the blade.

With beard soap: With your face wet (ideally just out of the shower), quickly run your shaving brush under warm water and emulsify the soap inside the bowl (without crushing the hairs) until you obtain a thick, creamy lather. Apply to the face in circular movements for one or two minutes, just long enough to soften and straighten your beard hair.

With shaving cream: Once you've prepared your face and moistened the shaving brush with warm water, place a dab of cream on the top of the brush and soap your face for one or two minutes as described above. Some users prefer to apply a trace of cream directly from the tube to each cheek, which they then emulsify with the brush.

Apply the foam to your wet face in circular movements to straighten the hairs. Shave in the direction of the hair, limiting the number of strokes of the blade to avoid irritation. If you want to shave a second time, rewash your face and shave again, this time against the direction of the hair. Rinse your face with cool water and apply an aftershave balm to soothe and rehydrate the skin. The day can begin!

Maintenance

To preserve the qualities of your beard brush for many years to come, we recommend that you rinse it well after each use, to remove any traces of cream or soap, and drain it. Then rub it lightly on a towel before storing it upside down on a suitable stand.

Check the sharpness of your razor blade and replace it if it is worn. After shaving, clean the razor with hot water to remove hair and other residues (shaving cream, soap, etc.) to prevent the proliferation of bacteria on the blades. Perfectly cleaned, the blade will retain its sharpness and effectiveness for longer, giving you real pleasure while you shave.
