It is best to shave in the morning, just after showering and before breakfast: the hairs, made mainly of keratin, will be softer and easier to cut, and the facial skin less sensitive.

With shaving soap: With a wet face (ideally just out of the shower), quickly run the shaving brush under warm water and work the soap in the bowl (without crushing the bristles) until a thick, creamy lather forms. Apply it to the face in circular motions for one to two minutes, long enough to soften and straighten the beard hairs.

With shaving cream: Once the face is prepared and the brush moistened with warm water, place a small amount of cream on the top of the brush and lather your face for one to two minutes as described above. Some users prefer to apply a strip of cream directly from the tube onto each cheek and then emulsify it with the shaving brush.

Check the sharpness of your razor blade and replace it if it is worn. After shaving, clean the razor with hot water to remove hair and other residues (shaving cream, soap, etc.) to prevent the proliferation of bacteria on the blades. Perfectly cleaned, the blade will retain its sharpness and effectiveness for longer, giving you real pleasure while you shave.

To preserve the qualities of your shaving brush for years to come, we recommend rinsing it well after each use, to remove any traces of cream or soap, and draining it. Then rub it lightly on a bath towel before storing it upside down on a suitable stand.
