Prepare your lather by loading your shaving brush with soap or cream. Using pre-shave products serves a dual purpose: it enhances hair hydration by removing its oily layer (sebum) and protects the skin from blade irritation.
Apply the lather to your wet face using circular motions to lift the hair. Shave in the direction of hair growth, limiting the number of blade passes to avoid irritation.
