It’s best to shave in the morning, just after a shower and before breakfast: hair, primarily composed of keratin, will be softer and easier to cut, and your facial skin will be less sensitive. Prepare your lather by loading your shaving brush with soap or cream. Using "pre-shave" products has two benefits: it increases hair hydration by removing its oily layer (sebum) and protects the skin from blade irritation.
