It’s best to shave in the morning, just after showering and before breakfast. At that time, the hair is softer (keratin-based) and easier to cut, and your skin is less sensitive.

Prepare your shaving lather by loading your brush with soap or cream.
Using a pre-shave product has two main benefits:

• It hydrates the hair by removing its greasy sebum coating.

• It forms a protective barrier to reduce blade aggression on the skin.

Apply the lather to your wet face using circular motions to lift the hair.
Shave in the direction of hair growth, limiting the number of strokes to prevent irritation. For a closer shave, re-lather and shave in the opposite direction.

Check the blade sharpness and replace it if it shows signs of wear.
