It is preferable to shave in the morning after a shower as the moisture softens the hair and tones the skin, which becomes less sensitive to the aggressions of shaving.

On a wet face, apply shaving foam (obtained with a soap or cream) in circles for 1 to 2 minutes to straighten the hair. The foam provides an optimal layer of moisture and protection to the skin.  Shave in the direction of the hair, limiting the number of passes of the blade, to avoid irritation. If you want to shave a second time, re-sweep your face and shave in the opposite direction of the hair. Rinse the face with cool water and apply an aftershave balm to soothe and rehydrate the skin.

After shaving, clean the razor with warm water to remove hair and other residues (shaving cream, soap, etc.) to prevent bacteria from growing on the blades. If the blade is perfectly cleaned, it will retain its sharpness and effectiveness for longer, giving you a real pleasure during shaving. If not, you can easily change the worn blade and continue to use the shaver.
