THE 1808 COLLECTION

The fragrances of a French heritage

For many, the first olfactory ritual of the morning has always started with Plisson. The historic scent of cedar and sandalwood in the shaving soap, followed by the soothing notes of the after-shave balm, left a lasting impression on the skin: that of discreet and precise French craftsmanship.

Today, the 1808 Collection continues this tradition. Named in tribute to the year of creation of the House, it continues this intimate dialogue between the hand, the gesture and the scent. A meeting between memory and modernity, where perfume becomes the natural extension of ritual: an art of living.

A collection inspired by a man and his time

The first collection of niche perfumes by Plisson is an ode to quiet strength, elegance and inner discipline. Inspired by Napoleon Bonaparte, one of the House’s first and most loyal clients, it explores six facets of his destiny: his conquests, his exiles, his light and his inner fire.

Each of the six perfumes evokes a page of this epic: the breath of the Mediterranean, the rigor of power, the sweetness of a morning in Ajaccio, the nobility of the European forests, the enthusiasm of the builder and the passion of a man inhabited by his ideal.

Behind each fragrance, an intention: to interpret the spirit of a man who has become a legend, and to celebrate the values that have always united him with Plisson—the precision, the requirement and the respect of the gesture.

Creation - a dialogue between vision and craftmanship

Thought and orchestrated under the artistic direction of the House, the 1808 Collection is the fruit of a dialogue between vision and craftsmanship. The master perfumers were invited to interpret the spirit of Napoleon through Plisson’s sensibility, guided by the same requirement: the nobility of the materials, the accuracy of the accords and the beauty of the gesture.

From this meeting was born a palette of olfactory emotions, shaped from noble raw materials: lavender, vetiver, cedar, amber, leather, orange blossom... As many sensory textures worked with the same rigor as a razor handle guilloched.

Each composition is clear, distinctive and balanced.

Although imagined for a masculine silhouette, they seduce all those sensitive to subtle contrasts: perfumes that transcend the genre and embody the very essence of French elegance.

The bottle - the hand, the material, the memory

At Plisson, the hand has always guided the form.

For more than two centuries, our master craftsmen have practiced the art of guilloche, engraving delicate patterns in metal or horn, repeating the same gesture to perfection.

It is this unique know-how that inspires the design of The 1808 Collection.

The glass bottle, square and heavy, stands out as an object of anchorage and stability, while an engraved feather pattern runs across its surface: symbol of lightness, momentum and movement.

On the golden satin cap, the eagle of the House watches with strength and intuition.

On the embossed case, the feather reappears, discreet and airy, echoing this duality that runs through the entire collection: power and nuance, heritage and modernity.

Every detail has been thought of as an extension of the gesture, the craft, the time.

Because a perfume, like a shaving brush or a razor, cannot be conceived: it is shaped.

Designed, manufactured and assembled in France.

The ultimate gesture

Each fragrance tells a story.

But the 1808 Collection is more than an olfactory narrative: it is a conversation between past and present, between the hand that shapes and the nose that composes, between heritage and desire.

Plisson does not add a line to her story: she extends it, in another language, that of perfume. A tribute to two centuries of precise gestures, just objects and silent beauty.

A journey through time, the senses and matter.
